In “Reflections,” I use interference oil paints that interact with light to create shifting colors and shimmer. Tiny mineral flakes carry extremely thin coatings that strengthen some colors in reflected light and soften others, much like the changing colors of a soap bubble.

As you change your viewing angle, different colors appear, adding a sense of depth and movement.

A photograph captures one view. In person, your movement becomes part of the painting’s unfolding.
